Co-founders, Hillary and Matthew, met during the summer of 2014 while working at the University of Alberta in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, and have been working together since.
Hillary Sweet, PhD
Hillary is a determined and hardworking individual, who strives to apply the skills she has acquired to help others.
Hillary graduated with a PhD in Materials Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2018, specializing in point-of-care clinical diagnostics.
Hillary's Bachelors degree was in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University, and in her downtime she enjoys playing sports, painting, and exploring new cuisine.
Matthew Nickel, PhD
Matthew is a problem solver, who wakes up inspired every day to help build a better world.
Matthew graduated with a PhD in Materials Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2018, specializing in nano-structured materials in medicine.
Matthew's Bachelors degree was in Materials Engineering from the University of Alberta, and some of his hobbies include learning languages, playing the piano, and spending time with family.
